JAM Type 3

Technical Data

Accomidation: Unknown
Height (Battroid Mode): 18.6 meters
Length (Fighter Mode): 20.7 meters
Weight: Unknown
Speed (Fighter Mode): Max: Unknown

Ability Data

Fighter Mode: The Type 3's standard mode. A sleak, aerodynamic form capable of flight at mach speeds.
Battroid Mode: The Type 3's main combat mode. Not as fast as Fighter mode, but capable of making better use of terrain.
Target Jamming: Type 3s are capable of not only making themselves hard to track using sophisticated jamming systems, but they can also fool weapon systems, causing tracking systems to lock onto allied units as if they were JAM.

Weapon Data

Gatling Cannons: The early JAM fighters mounted a gatling cannon more powerful then the standard ones found on FAF fighters at the time. The cannon could be used in fighter and "battroid" modes.
Laser Turret: Copied from the cannons found on the VFF-31 Sylphids, Type 3s carry laser turrets capable of all-range fire. They can be used in fighter and "battroid" modes.
JAM Missiles: Type 3 JAM fighters are capable of carrying up to 12 of the JAM's special anti-air missiles, which are more powerful then the standard FAF ones.
Swarming Missiles: Type 3s carry 4 pods of 15 "swarmer" missiles, copied from the missiles used by the VFF-1 Fawn and VFF-31 Sylphid. While low-powered, the missiles are fast and are capable of hitting a target from multiple angles, effectively "swarming" the target.

Technical and Historical Notes

Type 3s only appeared near the end of the war, and were in so few numbers that many thought they were myths. Type 3s were mostly the same as Type 2s, except they had a slightly tougher frame, and had highly advanced jamming and deception capabilities.
