Canadia Identification Codes

In order to make requisition and identification easier, Canadia troops use a standard identification scheme for their units. The identification code is comprised of 4 sections, detailed below.

Breakdown of a Canadia identification code:
MBR-MP-13.mod[RCH-HB][bst]

The first 3 letter block identifies the unit's role, as follows:

  • The first letter indicates weither the unit is combat ("Main"), or support.
  • The second letter indicates weither the unit is land ("Battle"), air ("Aero"), space, or naval.
  • The third letter indicates weither the unit is a Matey ("Robot"), a tank, a plane ("Fighter"), or a ship.

The second block is variable in size, and further identifies roles and availability, as follows:

  • X: This unit is experimental, and thus only a limited number are in operation. This tag is usually accompanied with the third letter of the first block, unless the unit has a special role.
  • TF: This unit is capable of transforming into an alternate form.
  • MP: This unit is mass-produced.
  • C: This unit is a command model.

The third block is the production number. This block has no special definations, and simply states that the unit in question is the Xth model to have this designation.

The final block can be broken down into a number of sub-sections. There is usually no more then 2, however. The first subsection is the Command Variant Acquisition Programme (CVAP) designation, which is comprised of the squadron's identification code and the initials of the officer. The second and subsequent subsections indicate upgrade modules which have been equipped on the unit.

Melarnic Galactic Merchant Exchange Identification Codes

The MGME also used a series of identification codes for their Mateys. The code was comprised of 4 sections, detailed below.

Breakdown of a MGME identification code:
MXM-CM-HD-K Knight Matey

The first section identifies the production status and unit type, as follows:

  • The first letter is always M, for "Melarnic".
  • The second letter indicates experimental ("X") or production ("P") models.
  • The third letter indicates weither the unit is a Matey, a tank, a plane, or a ship.

The second section identifies the unit's role, as follows:

  • The first letter indicates weither the unit is command, drone, melee combat, ranged combat, stealth, remote, or support ("P"). Other codes may be in use, but MGME records are lost.
  • The second letter usually copies the third letter of the first block.

The third section further breaks down the unit's role, as follows:

  • Heavy Defence ("HD")
  • Ranged Combat ("RC")
  • Close Combat ("CC")
  • Defence ("D")
  • Large-Area Combat ("LC")
  • Additional codes may be un use, but MGME records are lost.

The fourth section is a unique identifier for the specific unit, and is usually the first letter of the unit's official name.

Alliance Identification Codes

The Alliance simply use the acronym of the technical description of the unit as the identification code.
