[b]Ability Data[/b]

[b]Stealth:[/b] The outer armour of the Dark Talon is made f advanced composite materials which traps and dissipates most forms of electromagnetic radiation. There are also specialized baffles and sensor-defeating systems all over the outer surface, providing additional protection against sensor systems. Due to the peculiar characteristics of the outer coverings, the skin of the Gear seems to absorb ambient light, giving it an oddly sinister look.
[b]ECM:[/b] The Dark Talon has an advanced ECM system to help defeat enemy sensors.
[b]Paradrop Reinforcement:[/b] As the Dark Talon's intended mission is paradrop insertion, it has reinforced shocks and baffles in order to better withstand the impact of landings.

[b]Stealth Paratroop Rifle (F):[/b] The Dark Talon's main weapon is a stealth variant of the paratrooper rifles used by many paratrooper Gears. It combines a 30 round light autocannon with a 10 round grenade launcher. Because the Paratroop Rifle uses ammunition quickly, the Dark Talon carries additional clips under it's hip armor. [b]Sniper Laser Cannon (F):[/b] An optional weapon for certain missions is a reinforced laser rifle, able to better handle the impact of a paradrop landing. However it has a small battery which cannot hold many shots, though it can be recharged off the Gear's engine. [b]Technical and Historical Notes[/b]

The Dark Talon is the first Gear made entirely by Black Talon Werks for the Black Talons. It was designed to fill a paratrooper role that was currently left vacant. A few prototype units have been produced, and are currently undergoing field testing.
