What's Going Down

It has been six months since the Silver Prince has begun his march on the West. The death toll is rising with every passing day. The Silver Prince is now in control of Coral and its outlying islands, the northern portion of the Neck, and several islands to the Northeast, all of which are covered in a rapidly expanding shadowland. The Prince has not sailed on Wavecrest, though it is believed to only be a matter of time.

Character Generation

This new game is open to any Exalt of any stripe, except for Infernals and Akuma. However you Champions of the Neverborn and Chosen of Luna, I shall need to talk to you beforehand and discuss certain things.

Every player uses basic chargen for their type of Exalt. No Ronin Sidereals or Outcaste DBs without approval, though.

House Rules

  • You can add a new Charm to a combo by paying its highest prerequisite ability/attribute+1 in XP.
  • No Training Times.
  • All exalts currently use Solar XP charts.

  • Sorcery and Necromancy are modified as follows: [1]
    All Terrestrial Circle Sorcerers receive the spells Death of Obsidian Butterflies, Demon of the First Circle, Emerald Countermagic, and Unconquerable Self without additional cost.
    All Celestial Circle Sorcerers receive the spells Demon of the Second Circle and Sapphire Countermagic without additional cost.
    All Solar Circle Sorcerers receive the spells Demon of the Third Circle and Adamant Countermagic without additional cost.
    All Shadowlands Circle Necromancers receive the spells Field of Fell Dreams, Raise the Skeletal Horde, and Iron Countermagic without additional cost.
    All Labyrinth Circle Necromancers receive the spells Arisen Legion and Onyx Countermagic without additional cost.
    All Void Circle Necromancers receive the spells Summon Hekatonkhire and Obsidian Countermagic without additional cost.
  • Increasing Virtues after Chargen also increases your permanent Willpower. However, the cost for raising Virtues is raised to (Current Value) x4.

Storm Crow
Large Yacht (Resources ●●●●●)

A sleek, beautiful ship, top of the line on the outside... Inside is something far more sinister, albiet harmless, in the long run. A Truly putrescent shade of green paint with psychedelic whorls adorn every wall, forcing those with even the strongest constitutions to steel themselves against it. The new owners haven't figured out how to remove it yet, but it's at the very least worth trying.

Cargo: Provides accommodations for One Servant, along with the Crew of four, and has three cabins for six passengers as well, plus a small entertaining/dining room. Pirates pack in many more crew, in far less comfort.

Health Levels: Ux10/Mx5/Cx4/I/D
Weapons: None, or two light artillery emplacements for corsairs.
Measurement: 24 yards long, 6 yards from Deck to Keep, and requires 4 yards of water beneath it's keel to sail.

Monthly Maintenance Cost: Resources ●●●
Damage Effects:

  • Failure to perform monthly maintenance results in something breaking at an innoportune time within the next month, and requiring a [Wits+Craft Wood] roll to repair.
  • Leaks happen daily and can widen and ultimately sink the ship if the crew does not fix them. Such leaks happen more often when the vessel is under severe stress. The grace period for such leaks sinking the ship vary depending on where the leak is and how severe. A sprung seal takes an hour or more to become a problem, a gaping hole from artillery results in immediately sinking as per WoTLA sinking rules.)
  • Seasonal maintenance is where the salt-water ships are brought into drydock and inspected, cleaned of barnacles and parasites that otherwise inflict 1 level of unsoakable lethal damage to the hull per month that can't be patched at sea. Short version: Every 3 months, head back to a port and get the boat cleaned up. Failure to do so results in 1L unsoakable every month until cleaned. Repairs are Resources of the boat minus 1. (So Res 4 to repair the Storm Crow.)

Steelsilk Sails
Artifact ●

A few master artisans in the West know how to weave the silk of Essence spiders (see p. 151) into sails as light as canvas but as strong as steel. Captains who possess such sails guard them highly, sometimes only removing them from a well-locked hold when the ship’s survival depends on them. Storms, fire and weapons that would destroy ordinary sails all fail to damage steelsilk sails.
The magical sails have 10L/15B soak, take 20 health levels to damage and 40 to destroy. They also suffer only half damage from wind, waves or fire. Their durability makes a ship fitted with them easier to handle, adding +1 to all Sail rolls to control a ship in a storm or for gaining or losing speed. Steelsilk sails also allow a ship to sail closer to the wind. Steelsilk sails requires Charms or thaumaturgical enchantments to mend: ordinary mortal crafts are not up to this task.
