About These Reviews

Anime is listed roughly in order of highest to lowest rating for this season, with the exception of the Autodrop lists, which are always at the bottom. Keep in mind that these lists just sort anime in relation to the others in the season, and just because an anime is listed high/low does not necessarily mean it's good/bad respectively. (A season might be full of extremely good or extremely bad anime, for example.)

The Key

Keep Tier

  • Highly Recommended: Wow this show is good. Why are you not watching it?
  • Thumbs Up: A show I'm liking quite a bit. Will definitely keep following it, at least for several more episodes.
  • It's The Sequel, You Already Know Whether You'll Like This One Or Not: Looks like more of the same from a show that I found good. What you felt about the last show should still be what you feel about this one.
  • Inexplicably Random Fun: This show should be bad. Somehow, for some reason, it isn't. Far from it, actually. I don't know why either. Please don't ask me.
  • You Might Not Like It, I Do: A show that's most definitely not for everyone, but one I'm enjoying. It's worth giving it a try, at least.
  • WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN: This show makes no sense! But it makes no sense in that good/interesting way, so I'm sticking around.
  • Yeah This Is Pretty Good: This show is not exactly blowing me away, but it's got some merit to it, so it'll be one I'll still keep following for at least another episode or two.
  • Cautiously Optimistic: The premise is definitely clicking for me, but one or more elements of the show gives me the feeling that it's going to spoil the show if they break the wrong way. I'll keep watching for another episode or two, but will remain unsure how much longer I'm going to do so. If something doesn't get moved out of here, chances are I wound up being more cautious and less optimistic.

Neutral Tier

  • Well It's Okay I Guess: This looks like a quality production and I can definitely see a loyal fanbase developing for this show, but for whatever reason things just aren't clicking for me. Still worth at least a look, though.
  • Jury's Still Out: One or two episodes simply isn't enough for me to figure out where to place this show quite yet. I'll keep watching until I do develop some sort of feeling for it, one way or another. Will move it to a more appropriate rating once I do so. (And if I don't bother moving it, in all likelihood that feeling is a more negative/apathetic one.)
  • Fans Of The Franchise Will Like It, Me Not So Much: It's another entry in a long running series, but not necessarily directly related to a previous entry. It's not a franchise I care much for, though, and this show isn't changing my mind. But if you like this particular series, you probably will enjoy it.
  • You Might Like It, I Don't: I'm not particularly liking the premise, but I can definitely see where someone else might like it. If this sort of thing floats your boat, though, by all means be my guest.
  • Thoroughly Meh: This show is bland and unremarkable, and I'm having a hard time really caring for this show much. I might give it another episode or two to see if any plot twists emerge to change my mind, but chances are that isn't happening.
  • Please Help Me I Don't Know What To Make Of This Show: This show makes no sense! And I can't figure out what direction this show's going to take, either! So it's just gonna float here for now.
  • (Name) Might Like This Show, Me Not So Much: A pretty bad show that's tailored (maybe I should say pandering) to a rather narrow group of people. If you're familiar with the #zeal-ots, (name) should tip you off immediately as to what that niche is.
  • For Intended Audience Only, And You Are Not The Intended Audience: It's a show aimed at a group of people you most certainly aren't a part of, and you're almost certainly not going to get much out of it. Mostly reserved for shows aimed at a very, very young audience.

Drop Tier

  • Thoroughly Bleh: This show is bad, and it's quite unremarkable in its' bad-ness. As in, I know it's bad, but I can't even manage to say anything interesting as to how bad it is. Stay away.
  • Yeah, I Think I'll Just Pass On This One: Don't want to look at this show again, but it's not so revolting that I feel compelled to give it an insulting ranking.
  • Okay, What Did I Even Watch, And Why Did I Bother Watching It: This show makes no sense! But it's the bad sort of nonsense, and thus I'm just disposing of it before I start taking SAN damage.
  • With A Flash, My Eyes Are Now Blinded: Catch-all category for those horrible 5 minute long "comedy" shows created in Macromedia Flash.
  • Needs To Return To The Hell From Which It Was Spawned: Catch-all category for any sort of horrible show that deals with demons, devils, hell, the undead, or any other such occultic matter, as they are surprisingly common.
  • (Insulting Show Specific Phrase): This show was utterly horrible, and I'm not looking at it ever again. Titles are ranked in approximate descending order of how long I was able to suffer through Episode 1 before just closing Media Player Classic in shame.

Can't Watch Yet Tier

  • Temporarily? Dropped: Something happened in this show that just made me facepalm, and so I took it back out of its' considerably loftier ranking, still hoping that what just happened is a temporary occurence and I can just skip through an episode or two and get right back in, pretending this never happened.
  • Awaiting Higher Quality Video: The video in the currently available subs of this show are either of direly bad quality or have errors which make them unwatchable. I can't fairly rate this until another encode pops up later.
  • Awaiting Non-Fail Subs: Encodes of this show are out! But they were done by either a group I've marked as utterly horrible speedsubbers and/or are newcomers still working way too many things out, and thus are of unacceptable quality. I can't fairly rate this until another encode pops up later.
  • Should I Even Really Bother?: This show's premise is bad enough that I'm questioning whether I even want to go through the motions of watching this or not.

Won't Watch Tier

  • Autodropping (Don't Intend To See Prequel(s)): This show is the sequel to another show that I haven't and likely won't watch the entirety of, so it's not really fair to try to rank this show.
  • Autodropping (Tilusbane): This show is either excessively perverted or contains an excessive amount of gore, so I'm not even going to give this one a shot.
