The Missing Data Weapons - While researching the Data Weapons in Hokuto and Ginga's Gear Commanders, Ellis loses them as they run into various mechanical devices.. Before she has time to explain, Ogre appears with 5 new machine beasts, called Knights. Hokuto and Ginga face them, but when they try to install their Data weapons, they aren't there. Outmatched, Hokuto and Ginga manage to escape the Gulfer with the help of a decoy. 10. Zero Seconds Before Dendoh's Destruction - GEAR frantically tries to find a way to retrieve the Data Weapons. Meanwhile Althea sends an ultimatum that, unless Dendoh appears to face him and his Knights, they will attack the major cities of the Earth. Eventually, Ellis suggests they use the power source for GEAR's systems to attract the Data Weapons. Dendoh heads out to meet Althea with their "Data Weapon Magnet" in hand. When the device is activated, all six Data weapons appear. In the ensuing chaos, Hokuto and Ginga retrieve their Unicorn and Leo respectivly, but also manage to obtain the Dragon Flare and Gatling Boar respectivly. Unfortunently Althea manages to capture the Bull Horn, in addition to his own Viper Whip. Despite the new Data Weapons, Dendoh is still outmatched by Ogre and his Knights. In the ensuing battle, Ginga is injured. 11. Decisive Match! Dendoh vs. Ogre - Dendoh manages to escape, and a low battery forces Althea to make a temporary retreat. Later Ellis, Hokuto and a recouperating Ginga try to find a way to defeat Althea's 5 Knights withou the use of only one Final Attack. As the Knights attack Hoshimi, Vega goes to meet Althea in hand to hand combat. Hokuto and Ginga eventually figure out a plan to defeat the Knights, get all of them lined up and destroy them with a single Final Attack. Using Dendoh's Launch Tunnel, they manage to destroy the Knights, but Ogre appears as does a single Knight who escaped. The two overpower Dendoh, who is now low on power, when they are saved by the appearance of Kirakuni and the Cell Fighter, Dendoh's support fighter capable of replacing Dendoh's batteries. With the ability to use multiple Final Attacks Dendoh destroys the last Knight, and nearly destroys Ogre until a Gulfer ship appears and saves him, and then quickly disappears. 12. Dendoh goes to the Arctic to combat the Gulfer, but they run out of power before finishing them all off. Worse yet GEAR is out of Hyper Denchi, so they are forced to retreat. Crashing into the side of a hill, Dendoh is totally without power, and the machine beast will arrive to finish it off in a matter of hours. GEAR eventually uses thousands of people on exercise bikes to generate power, recharging Dendoh's batteries just in time to finish the machine beast. 15. Ghost Story! The Data Weapons in School - Hokuto and Ginga get their Gear Commanders taken away in school. Unable to retrieve them, they, along with Ellis, sneak into school to get them back. When they arrive they find that the Gear Commanders are not there. They also find a burgler trying to steal money from the school's safe. Ellis attempts to scare the burgler, but it doesn't work. The Unicorn's image appears, and scares the burgler, allowing the three to knock him out, with his head hitting an alarm. The Unicorn leads them to their teacher's house, where she took the Gear Commanders. A machine beast appears and attacks their teacher's house. In the chaos, Hokuto and Ginga retrieve the Gear Commanders, using the Data Weapons to rescue their teacher and battle the Gear Commander until Dendoh arrives. Hokuto and Ginga defeat the machine beast, but suddenly an amazingly fast winged monster appears. and attacks Dendoh and the Data weapons before retreating. 16. The Demon from the Moon - At Spiral City, the winged beast is revealed as Lagowe (Ragou), the Gulfer Emperor's pet. At GEAR, an incident involving cake causes Ellis, Hokuto, and Ginga to stop speaking to one another. To get them to make up, the Data Weapons unleash a plan to get them all to an amusement park, so they can work out their differences. They eventually do, but Lagowe and a machine beast appear. As Dendoh battles a Data Weapon, Unicorn, Dragon, and Leo battle Lagowe. With the help of Vega, Dendoh manages to defeat the machine beast, and the Data Weapons manage to cut off one of Lagowe's legs forcing it to retreat. 17. Lagowe's Teeth - Ginga's younger sister finds Leo, and befriends it, but she is harassed by Waiter, Gourmet, and Absolute before Hokuto and Ginga save her. The three are chased before Vega saves them. Lagowe reappears, as does another machine beast trying to protect Lagowe and traps inside a barrier. The Data Weapons try to fight Lagowe but are unable to break the barrier. Dendoh defeats the machine beast, but Lagowe badly wounds Leo and Unicorn, infecting them with a Data Weapon destroying Virus before Dendoh drives Lagowe off. 18. 8000 Meter Deep Battle - Ellis figures out that if GEAR can get a sample of Lagowe, they might be able to create a cure of the virus. Dendoh launches to retrieve Lagowe's detached foot at the bottom of the ocean from the previous battle. However a machine beast interferes and ends up destroying the arm. Dendoh defeats the machine beast. The only remaining option to save Leo and Unicorn is to go to the moon and capture a part of Lagowe. 19. Resurrected Life - Using the new Booster attachment for the Cell Fighter, Vega and Kirakuni accompany Dendoh to the moon, where they attack Spiral City to draw out Lagowe. Spiral city takes off as Lagowe emerges. Meanwhile, on Earth Leo and Unicorn continue to suffer. Dendoh battles Lagowe, managing to capture it in a net. Before they are able to retrieve a sample, a machine beast attacks, frees Lagowe, and damages the Cell Booster, causing it to crash. Lagowe backs Dendoh into a corner as the two infected Data Weapons die. Suddenly, at GEAR the image of a phoenix and a young green haird girl appear, and the two Data weapons are reborn, absorbing two incomplete vehicles being made at Gear. The two Data Weapons quickly go to the moon and save Hokuto and Ginga. Hokuto and Ginga see the same phoenix and girl, saying the name "Kiba. Suddenly Unicorn and Leo combine into a single data weapon, the Chou Juu Oh Kiba. Kiba battles Lagowe, cutting off one of its wings, while Dendoh destroys the various Machine Beasts that had appeared with the Gatling Boar. Dendoh then installs the Kiba Striker Data Weapon, and uses it to destroy Lagowe once and for all. 20. Burn! Ginga!! - Leo acts as a mail pet in an electronic relationship between Ginga and his favorite member of his favorite band, Yuki of C-Drive. Unfortuently the Gulfer Baka Trio catches on, and crashes a C-Drive concert looking for Dendoh's pilots. The three eventually attack C-Drive in their car while Dendoh battles a machine beast. After this, Ginga decides to stop mailing Yuki to prevent anymore trouble for her. Meanwhile, at Spiral City, Ogre returns. 21. Revived Black Knight! - Kirakuni and Aiko are set up for a wedding arrangement meeting by their parents. Hokuto, Ginga, and Ellis spy on the meeting for the rest of the people at GEAR. The meeting is interrupted when Waiter attacks the same time, interfering with computer and power systems across the city, preventing the launch of the Cell Fighter or any support from GEAR. As Dendoh fights Waiter, Kirakuni and Aiko work to get the Cell Fighter flying. Eventually they manage to destroy Waiter and save the day. 22. Mother's Secret - Hokuto visits his Grandfather with his mother. While there he sees a picture of his mother when she was young, and realizes she looks like the girl that appeared when the Kiba was first formed. Hokuto's mother talks with her father about GEAR, Dendoh, and Althea, revealing to the audience that she and Vega are the same person. It is also revealed that Hokuto's grandfather found Vega on the shore, and is the man who founded GEAR. Later, Althea returns with two machine beasts, and battles Dendoh. The machine beasts capture Leo Circle, and Althea attempts to rewrite the contract. Vega intereferes and rescuses Leo. Althea asks Vega to come with him, and eventually captures her. Dendoh destroys the machine beasts, but Althea gets away with Vega. Hokuto returns to an empty house. 23. Locked Memories - On his battleship the Aldebaran, Althea trys to convince Vega that the Gulfer emperor is trying to create peace in the Galaxy, and Althea's past is revealed. As a young boy, Althea fought against the Gulfer when his planet was being attacked. Vega escaped to earth. When Althea was captured, he was convinced to fight for the Gulfer Emperor (in reality brainwashed). Althea asks Vega about the seventh Data Weapon, which Vega believes to be the Kiba. Meanwhile Hokuto and his father are picked up by Kirakuni and taken to GEAR, and told. Everything is revealed about Vega's past, how GEAR was created, and that Hokuto is the pilot of Dendoh. Later Althea attacks, and in the battle says that the war shall continue as long as Dendoh keeps fighting, and reveals that he is Vega's sister. This shakes Hokuto and Ginga, and causes the contracts with the Data Weapons to be broken, allowing Althea to capture all of them. Althea then has Dendoh cornered. 24. Long Night - Vega tells Althea that if he destroys Dendoh, she'll kill herself, and he'll never learn the secret of the 7th Data Weapon. With their confidence shaken, Hokuto and Ginga retreat. Eventually some words from Ginga's mother convince Ginga to move on. Convincing Hokuto they decide to go into space and face Althea head on in order to rescue Vega. However without Data Weapons, they are at a severe disadvantage. It is at this time that Dr. Inoue reveals that after the incident with Lagowe, he began working on several new weapons for Dendoh, including missiles, a sword, tomahawks, a beam rifle, a bow, and arrows. Before leaving, Ginga's mother reminds him that power comes from the heart (telling the audience that she's not an idiot and realizes what Ginga does). Later, the Cell Booster and Full Armor Dendoh lauch into space. The two are able to destroy most of the Gulfer grunts and machine beasts, but they run out of ammo when they face Ogre. Relying on Dendoh's normal moves, they fight Althea until he unleashes Hokuto and Ginga's former Data Weapons on them. They manage to reconvince the Leo and Unicorn, which fight off the Boar and Dragon. As the battle turns, forces from Spiral City fire upon the battlefield, hoping to wipe out both Dendoh and the Aldebaran, claiming the victory for themselves. Vega is rocked as the Aldebaran begins to explode. 25. In Midst of Flames - Althea returns to the Aldebaran to rescue Vega recalling all the Data Weapons. Hokuto and Ginga soon follow. Althea finds Vega in the grasp of a machine beast. She cry out for her brother restores his memories. Althea saves Vega and his mask comes off. As Gourmet's forces assault the Aldebaran, Hokuto and Ginga find Vega. Althea returns Vega and the Data Weapons and tells Dendoh to escape as the Aldebaran begins crashing to Earth. An explosion seemingly kills Althea. As the Aldebaran crashes into the ground, Dendoh emergs from it. GEAR's american forces arrive, as it is revealed that Gourmet has arrived on the scene. He unleashes a field, trapping Dendoh inside and prevents them from using the Data Weapons, as well as stopping anything (including the Cell Fighter) from entering. Ellis reveals that the only way the field can be broken is with a Final Attack, which Dendoh can't use. As Dendoh fights a losing battle, Ogre reappears with Althea at the controls, and for the first time, its mask is raised. Althea uses the Viper Whip's Final Attack to break the field, allowing Dendoh's battery to be resupplied and destroy Gourmet. After the battle, Althea comes out of Ogre's cockpit, and collapses from his injuries. 26. The Day Spiral City Falls - Injured from the ordeal he has been through, Althea is intorduced to Hokuto and Ginga. He asks if they are the ones Dendoh chose. Before passing out from his injuries, he gives Ogre to GEAR, and passes on the Viper Whip and Bull Horn to Hokuto and Ginga respectivly. Althea is taken by GEAR to be treated while Aiko tells Kirakuni that Spiral City has begun to move toward Earth, and is planning a full scale invasion. At Spiral City, the Master states that GEAR must not get all of the Data Weapons and both Gears. GEAR prepares to fight, and Vega states that Ogre will be used for this mission. Dendoh's control system is modified to be like Ogre's so that it may controlled by one pilot. Vega apologizies for having to send the boys out again, but they state that it is all right so long as they defeat Gulfer. Ginga returns him and reveals to his family that he is Dendoh's pilot. His mother hugs him and admits that she knew all along, and knew that he'd tell her some day. Ginga tells his family to go to the shelter and to wait for him. As they prepart to launch, Hokuto pilots Ogre, while Ginga pilots Dendoh. The two Gears and the Cell Booster launch into space and meet the Gulfer head on. Destroying many Gulfer grunts outside they press on, using two final attacks at the same spot to break through Spiral City's barrier, and then using Clock Manager to prevent it from closing again. Using the opportunity to get inside the barrier and make a hole in Spiral City where they are met by Absolute. Absolute's speed is too much for the two GEARs and he easily evades them. Ginga uses the Leo Circle's Hyper Scan ability to find Absolute, and then uses the Bull Horn's Auto Pressure ability to freeze him in place, while Hokuto finishes him off with Viper Whip's Final Attack. Hokuto and Ginga flash back to Dr. Inoue telling them that they must destroy Spiral City before it passes the Zero Barrier, otherwise it will crash into the Earth, causing unthinkable damage. With one minute to spare, the three GEAR destroy the Master of Spiral City using Kiba Striker FA. They then proceed to the reactor and use all 6 Data Weapon's Final Attacks to totally destroy Spiral City in orbit. As the credits roll, the three warriors return to Earth. 27. Stealthy Shadow - Hokuto and Ginga's families (along with Ellis and Ginga's father) celebrate after the boys' triumph over Spiral City. Otome plays with the Data Weapons while Ginga's father looks at the Gear Commanders. Meanwhile, near Jupiter a mysterious figure as well as several diamond shaped machine beasts head towards Earth. Hokuto and Ginga go about their daily lives, while Vega goes to visit an injured but recovering Althea at her father's house. Vega and her father wonder if further Gulfer forces will come again. Vega and her father agree that they wish the children wouldn't have to fight again. Near the moon, the ships approach, and a young, seemingly human boy says he merely wants Ogre back. Two machine beasts call the figure Zero, and attack one of GEAR's defense satellites. As the two machine beasts enter the atmosphere, they shed armor to reveal their real forms. The two machine beasts engage the defense forces, while Hokuto, Ginga, and Ellis are in art class and unable to get away. Ginga's mother goes to their school and tells their teacher that they are Dendoh's pilots. Letting them go, the teacher nearly faints. The two boys call for the Gears, as Dendoh is launcher from the ocean, and Ogre appears from behind a waterfall. Dendoh and Ogre battle the two machine beasts. which seem to fight very well together, moving fast enough to leave afterimages. With Dendoh and Ogre taking quite a beating, Hokuto decides to fight them with speed as well, using the Viper Whip's Illusion Flash ability to keep up with the Gulfer. Meanwhile Ginga enters a bit of meditation, and uses the sound of Ogre's turbines to pinpoint the location of one of the machines, hitting it with Boar Gattling, while Hokuto uses the other one's suprise to knock it off balance. Ginga freezes them both with Clock manager, and finishes them off with Kiba Striker. Elsewhere the boy, called Subaru watches the battle. Zero, this time appearing as a human, returns with Althea's Gear Commander, having stolen it from Vega's father's mansion. 28. Subaru's Challenge - At a penthouse atop a building in Tokyo, Subaru speaks with Zero. The two are looking for the seventh Data weapon. Subaru states that neither Spiral City, nor his brother Althea could find it. At GEAR, they discuss that a temporary satellite blackout might have allowed enemies to slip through, but they have not been found. Vega stats that they should look for the seventh Data weapon, as Althea believe it to be the key to ending the battle. The commander mentions that Althea's Gear Commander was stolen, and finds this curious. Subaru wanders the city, to see what his opponents are like. Zero tells him he should be more careful, since he is the Emperor's greatest hope. Hokuto practices martial arts with Ginga in a park. Meanwhile Subaru goes to an aquaduct and meets the human avatars of Absolute, Waiter, and Gourmet, who seem to have lost their memories. Zero states that they three are useless, and prepares to destroy them, but Subaru stops him and asks to have them. Zero and Subaru send out a machine beast to seek out the seventh data weapon. As Hokuto and Ginga call for the Gears, Subaru also calls for Ogre using the Gear Commander. When only Dendoh arrives, Hokuto wonders what happened to Ogre. Ogre is frozen in mid-air, since two signals were sent. Vega comes to pick up Hokuto and they head for Ogre's Location. Meanwhile Zero breaks into a GEAR base, getting into their computer systems searching for the new data weapon. As it turns out, the wreckage of Althea's Knights were held there, and Zero merges them with the machine beast, creating Knight Gem. Meanwhile Hokuto and Subaru continue to vie for control of Ogre. Hokuto ends up using the Unicorn to get into Ogre and take control directly from the cockpit. As Hokuto arrives at the battle, the two Gears quickly destroy the Knight. As Zero leaves the base, he says he can't believe Subaru lost, stating that he's a pain. 29. Hokuto in Danger - While playing Soccer, Hokuto retrieves a ball, and sees Subaru. Subaru asks why Hokuto is here. Subaru is mad that he can't control Ogre. Zero states that Hokuto must be stronger. Zero reveals that Hokuto is the daughter of Vega, the princess of the Planet Arktos, and one who rebeled against the Emperor. Subaru tells Zero to kill Hokuto, but he says the Emperor won' t allow it yet. GEAR discusses a way to prevent the White Gear Commander from taking control of Ogre again. While at GEAR, Ogre is controlled by their computer, Meteo, so it at least can't be summoned. Vega arrives, with Hokuto calling her mother and Ginga calling her "Auntie". She asks them to call her Vega when she's dressed like that. She explains that controlling the Gears with the commanders is a matter of will. Zero tells Subaru that the Emperor has a plan. Two machine beasts appear at two different locations, so Hokuto and Ginga must split up to battle them. Hokuto battles an acid spewing beast, while Ginga fights a beast with a barrier that deflects Gattling Boar's Final Attack with some kind of armor. Hokuto lures the beast into the water, and destroys it there, while Ginga uses his attacks to weaken the beasts armor before destroying it. As Hokuto awaits Kirakuni to change the battery, Hokuto sees Subaru on the beach. Exiting to talk to him, Subaru says Hokuto's name, and presents the White Gear Commander. Stating that Ogre is his and he wants it back, he sents out an orb of light that traps Hokuto inside a metal bubble. When Vega arrives on the beach, she find's Hokuto's communicator lying there, but no Ogre or Hokuto in sight. 30. Greatest Rival! - GEAR fractincally searches for the missing Ogre and Hokuto, with no sign of either. As Vega cries over the loss of her son, Ginga goes out himself in Dendoh to look for him. Meanwhile, at Subaru's penthouse, Subaru stands over a sleeping Hokuto, who is wearing a headband. When Hokuto awakens, he says Subaru's name, and wonders where he is, before remembering that he was injured in a battle with Dendoh. Hokuto speaks to Subaru as if they are the best of friends. Zero explains that they have brainwashed Hokuto into believe that he is the pilot of Ogre for the Gulfer Emperor. Zero explains to Hokuto that Subaru has a new plan, while Hokuto vows to destroy Dendoh this time, before fainting. Hokuto says he's going to get some more sleep, and as Subaru walks away, he says "All right, Ginga". Visting her father's mansion, Althea finally regains consciousness. Althea explains that if someone can use the Gear Commander, it must be Subaru, the Emperor's son, and Althea's former little brother. He also explains that like himself, Subaru is merely a pawn, and that if Subaru is here, so must Zero, the Emperor's right hand man. If Subaru was to fail, the target would become Hokuto. Meanwhile, Hokuto launches in Ogre. When Ogre doesn't respond, they assume that Hokuto is not in control of the Gear, but they become convinced when Ogre uses the Viper Whip. Ginga goes to meet Ogre. Hokuto declares that he's Ogre's pilot, and that Dendoh is his greatest enemy. Hokuto begins beating on Dendoh, with Ginga trying to reason with Hokuto. Ginga reluctantly begines fighting back. As Hokuto corners Ginga, and begins to use the Unicorn Drill's Final Attack, Hokuto is shaken, and cries out in pain, with memories of Subaru and Ginga flashing in his mind. Eventually, Hokuto goes through with the Final Attack, as Ginga counters with Leo Circle's. Ogre begins to retreat, but not before Vega manages to slip a bug on it. 31. Hokuto's Cries, Ginga's Tears- Hokuto is still missing as those at GEAR are worried about him. Hokuto awakens at Subaru's penthouse. While speaking with Subaru, he mistakenly calls him Ginga again. Subaru flashes back to Zero telling him that human memory is difficult to erase. Ginga continues to worry about Hokuto, while Vega once again visits Althea. Althea assures her that Hokuto will be able to get his memory back, though it will be difficult. Vega worries about having to fight with someone she knows, but Althea tells her Hokuto is stronger than she thinks. Althea then asks to see Ginga. Althea asks Ginga if he can fight and defeat Hokuto, telling him that Hokuto's goal now is to defeat Dendoh. If Ginga doesn't fight with all his might, he will lose. Althea tells Ginga that he's the only one who can get Hokuto back. At Subaru's penthouse, Hokuto says he's going to take a shower, and asks if Subaru wants to come (this is common in Japan). This causes Hokuto to have a flash of a memory of him and Ginga bathing. Ginga continues to think about what he's going to do. Inside GEAR HQ, Ginga swears that he'll get Hokuto back. Ginga and Kirakuni launch, as they detect Ogre and Hokuto. They begin to battle. As Kirakuni trys to help Ginga, Ginga tells him to stay back. Vega, Kirakuni, Zero, Subaru, Waiter, Gourmet, and Absolute all observe the battle. A machine beast appears amidst the battle. Kirakuni and the Bull Horn battle it while Ginga continues his battle against Hokuto. The beast eventaully causes the Cell Fighter to crash land. Ginga send the Boar to help Bull Horn. During the battle, Hokuto and Ginga both charge each other attacking with Unicorn Drill and Leo Circle respectivly. As they pass, they cut open each other's cockpits. Forcing Ogre against a hill, both pilots jump out and begin fighting each other hand to hand. Eventually, Hokuto begins crying in pain as the headband begins to glow. As Vega approaches, the battle, Zero destroys the Walkure as she jumps away and begins fighting him. As the Machine Beast charges Dendoh, Hokuto pushes Ginga back and readies the Unicorn Drill's Final Attack. As Ginga thinks it is over, Hokuto unleashes the Final Attack and destroys the machine beast. Hokuto's memory restored, Subaru and the Gulfer retreat, as Hokuto steps out of the cockpit and the headband falls off. 32. Fly! Subaru! - Hokuto returns with Ogre to GEAR HQ and apologizes for all that's happened. Vega hugs him, while Ginga looks. Hokuto thanks Ginga for helping him. This soon turns into the two bickering until Ellis intervenes. At Subaru's penthouse, Subaru is very angry, asking Zero why Hokuto's memory returned. Subaru wanders outside, still seeing Hokuto. Zero watches on, mentioning that Subaru is useless now. Hokuto identifies Subaru, Zero, and the Gulfer Baka Trio. GEAR discusses their next move. Hokuto explains that he feels like he almost misses Subaru. Zero explains their next plan, and they have to destroy Ogre and Dendoh. Subaru asks Zero to let him go, saying he is the only one that can destroy Ogre. GEAR discovers two machine beasts approaching the city. Hokuto, Ginga, Ellis, and Vega all head out. As the machine beasts approach, one is piloted by Subaru. Dendoh, Ogre, and the Cell Fighter engage the machine beasts, with Subaru battling Ogre. As Hokuto goes to attack, he sees Subaru in the cockpit. Hokuto begins evading Subaru's attacks, wondering why its come to this. Elsewhere, Zero attacks another of GEAR's bases. Subaru continues to attack Hokuto, with Hokuto trying to reason with him and Subaru saying they're enemies. Hokuto asks why Subaru helps the Gulfer. Subaru replies that he is the Emperor's son and that humans are evil. Hokuto asks how that is possible, continuing to try and reason with him. Zero walks out asking Subaru if he's had enough, saying its time to end the battle. Subaru's machine appears to switch to autopilot, grabbing onto Ogre, and then flying up, with Subaru not being able to control it. Zero explains to Subaru that the machine will explode when they reach 20,000 feet. Zero says the Emperor will be happy that Subaru sacrificed his life in such a way. Meanwhile Ginga finishes off the other machine beast and is resupplied before going after Hokuto. Subaru is saying he can be blown up, finishing off Ogre. As Ginga catches up, they load the Kiba, which cuts Ogre free as Subaru's machine continues to fly upward. Hokuto goes after him, breaking open the cockpiut and telling him to jump. As Subaru jumps, the bomb explodes. However Ginga was able to freeze the explosion just in time with Clock Manager. Hokuto grabs Subaru and they all escape safely. 33. GEAR's Destruction! - Subaru is being held at GEAR HQ, and has sunken into a deep depression over what's happened. Vega explains that Subaru is different from Althea, in that he grew up among the Gulfer, and a wound like that won't heal easily. Subaru continues to angst over what happened, when Hokuto tries to cheer him up, introducing him to Ginga and Ellis. Subaru begins to cry, when Ginga pulls out a handkerchif and hands it to Hokuto, who in turn gives it to Subaru. Hokuto, Ginga, and Ellis talk about Subaru. Hokuto non-chelantly says hello to the Gulfer Baka Trio while they are refilling a vending machine, apparently having gotten jobs at GEAR. Ginga turns back and points before being dragged off by Ellis, telling him not to worry about the Gulfer. Hoktuo, Ellis, and Ginga take Subaru out to see a greenhouse, since he likes plants. Later that night they take Subaru to eat at Hokuto's mother's resturaunt. The next day, the kids, Subaru, and the Gulfer play cards while a recovered Althea, Vega, and her father talk about what happened. Althea explains that even if they aren't related, he still sees Subaru as a younger brother. Later, they speak with the commander, and say that the Gulfer will have given up on trying to recover Ogre, as there are no humans left to pilot it for them. All that's left is to find the seventh data weapon. Suddenly a machine beast is detected. The GEAR Team launches. as they do, Zero presses a button and sets off several bombs at all the GEAR bases he had previously been near, destroying the American, French, English, Italian, Australian, and Canadian braches of GEAR in one fell swoop. Althea knows that its Zero. Zero then takes the opportunity to break into GEAR's main HQ. As he breaks through the base, GEAR prepares to evacuate. A second machine beast appears from underground within the base. Hokuto uses Unicorn Drill to burrow through the ground while Ginga and Kirakuni battle the first beast. Zero continues his assault of the base. Subaru gets cut off from the others. As Zero's assault causes more destruction, the commander decides to evacuate GEAR entirely, and has Meteo evacuate as well. Hokuto battles the machine beast inside Gear. The Gulfer Baka Trio mention that Subaru is still in the base. Zero corners Subaru, and is about to kill him when Althea intervenes. Moving into an audotorium, Althea continues to fight Zero while Vega intervenes as well, however Zero seems to outmatch the two, even when Vega apparently explodes him with a bomb. Althea tells Vega to get Subaru out while he holds off Zero alone. A cave in caused by Hokuto's battle with the machine beast gives Althea a change to escape. The episode ends as Zero detonates a bomb that destroys the now empty main room of GEAR HQ. 34. Zero Attack! - The battle continues as Vega and Subaru escape Zero's explosions underground. Ginga watches from the outside, when the Machine Beast reappears and continues to attack. The Gulfer Baka Trio wander aimlessly outside searching for Subaru. Ogre appears intact from the rubble, with the second machine beast appearing soon after. Althea appears outside the base, but Vega and Subaru are still inside. Zero jumps into the ruins of the base once more, and transforms into his true form. In the underground ruins of the base, Subaru and Vega awaken, amidst the rubble, with Vega sleightly injured. Vega leads the way as they search for a way out. Zero continues to proceed downward towards his objective, Meteor. Vega and Subaru reach Meteo, pullign down a lever on the massive computer before moving into another room. Outside Hokuto and Ginga destroy the two machine beasts. Vega enters some kind of control room as Zero arrives. Vega instructs Subaru on what to do as the ground begins to shake. Out of the rubble of GEAR, a massive battleship, Meteo, appears. Zero attacks as Vega activates a shield which blocks the attack. Zero explains that this must be the ship that Vega escaped on. As Zero continues to attack, Hokuto moves to defend it, although Ogre's energy is low. Vega tries to fire a weapon on the battleship, but something is wrong with it. Ginga intervenes as Kirakuni resupplies Ogre. Hokuto and Ginga load all but Leo and Viper, and the Data Weapons and Gears continue to battle Zero to little effect.. Subaru eventually manaves to manually fire the Meteo's Quasar Cannon, blowing off Zero's left arm, and giving Hokuto enough time to destroy him with the Kiba Breaker's Final Attack. Subaru cries at having killed Zero. Afterward, everyone regroups. Althea calls Subaru his brother. Ginga then says that makes Subaru Hokuto's uncle. Everyone boards the Meteo, and finds that its bridge is exactly like GEAR HQ's control room. They explain that only Vega, and now Althea can activate the ship. Zero (in his human form) looks onward and says it doesn't matter. It'll all be over soon. Across the world, astronomers detect a planet on a course toward earth. Althea explains that that planet is the Gulfer's planet, and their former home planet, Arktos. 35. Takeoff! To Space - With the full power of the Gulfer approaching Earth, the situation seems grim, but Hokuto and Ginga resolve to fight on. Althea says the only chance they have is to intercept Arktos before it arrives. GEAR begins repairing the Meteo. Everyone prepares for their departure, saying farewell to their familities.. On the Meteo, the new battle fighter Valhalla nears completion. Hokuto's father asks why he can't go, but Vega says that they'll be back soon. Subaru says that he will go with them. Ginga trains with his mother, while his father returns to say farewell to Ginga, and says he wants to go, though he knows he can't. He gives Ginga a lucky charm. As the Meteo is about to launch, C-Drive prepares a concert to drive GEAR on. Those going say their final goodbyes to their families, as the Meteo lifts off. Althea explains the Gulfer's defenses, including a massive defensive satellite that is projecting a shield around all of Arktos. The commander explains that Vega will pilot the Valhalla, when Subaru voulenteers to pilot it. Althea convinces the commander to allow him to be Vega's co-pilot. As they approach the Gulfer's first defensive line, the GEAR team launches to meet the Gulfer head on. A massive battle ensues between GEAR's forces and the Gulfer, with GEAR destroying many, many machine beasts. As they approach the defense satellite, it fires a massive blast that destroys many of the Gulfer forces, but allt he GEAR forces manage to avoid. Using the same trick they used against Spiral City's barrier, they break a hole in the defense satellite. As they are about to enter, Zero appears. Ginga tells Hokuto to go after the satellite along, however Hokuto refuses, and destroys Zero with Dragon Flare's Final Attack. As they move toward the satellite again, Zero respawns, stating that they can't ever defeat him. Suddenly, three Spiral Cities appear behind the Meteo. 36. Sea of Storms - The battle continues as the Meteo prepares to battle the Spiral City. Dendoh and Ogre continue to battle Zero, as the Valhalla procees into the defensive satellite. Vega and Subaru search for the satellite's barrier system. Outside Ginga destroys Zero again, but he continues to respawn. Inside the satellite, Subaru tells Vega to stop, and he'll disable the defensive systems manually while Vega holds off the Gulfer. Subaru is sucessful and Vega destroys the shield generator, dropping the shield around Arktos. Outside, Hokuto destroys Zero again, while Ginga freezes him with Clock manager, which buys them time before he respawns. A backup generator activates, and the shield begins to come back on line, however the Valhalla is knocked into the atmosphere and Hokuto follows before the shield is fully restored. This leaves Dendoh, the Cell Booster, and the Meteo to battle in space. The Valhalla and Ogre enter the atmosphere of Arktos, and find a beautiful, lush world filled with animal and plant life, not what would be expected from a planet controlled by Gulfer. In space, the battle isn't going well, and Althea orders a retreat, so they may regroup their forces. On the planet, Hokuto comments that he can't believe how beautiful the planet is. Vega explains that the Gulfer Emperor was originally the planet's environmental management computer, controlling the planet's weather and temperature. Because of this, the computer begain to believe it was the supreme ruler of the planet, and should rule to universe. In space, the Meteo begins to retreat, with the Gulfer Baka Trio performing repairs outside. Althea tells Ginga to break off from his fight against Zero and come back to the ship. Althea orders that the Meteo descend into Jupiter to avoid the Fulger's forces. On the planet, Valhalla and Ogre enter the Gulfer's central command, but are met by two guardian machine knights, and are forced to retreat. In space, Ginga manages to destroy Zero again, and escapes toward Jupiter. As the Meteo continues to descend into Jupiter, it lures the three Spiral Cities down as well, but is trapped. Althea relays the data of one of the Spiral City's reactor to Ginga, and he destroys it with a Final Attack, allowing the Meteo to use the blast to escape Jupuiter's gravity. the Meteo gets word that a massive fleet of Spiral Cities are approaching earth, and will arrive in 48 hours. On Arktos, Hokuto manages to finish off the two machine beasts. As he does, Subaru sees a child on the ground. 37. The Truth About Arktos - Zero wonders where the Meteo went, but says it doesn't matter. Hiding inside Jupiuter's rings, the Meteo continues to repair itself. Althea tells Ginga that its important that he get some rest. Ginga says he can't fail, and says he'll never give up. On Arktos, the Valhalla and Ogre follow the child into some mountains, and into a cave. They come upon a group of people, one of whom calls Hokuto by Althea's name. On the Meteo, Dr. Inoue explains that the only way to break the shield is to used two Final Attacks. On Arktos Vega, Hokuto, and Subaru come across a small town the people had setup. On the Meteo, Ginga is planning for battle, and Ellis explains that maybe Zero is like a Data Weapon, and suggests using the Lagowe Virus. Vega says she is glad people are still alive on the planet, and flashes back to when she originally left the planet. She says they have returned to destroy the Gulfer. The old man says that he doesn't believe the Gulfer are something that can be destroyed so easily by humans. On the Meteo, Ginga has finally fallen asleep. Back on Arktos the old man explains about the seven gods that protected Arktos. The refugees came behind the planet's strongest seal protects the Gulfer. The old man explains that the gods made an ancient contract, and would appear in the planet's time of crisis. However, the crisis came, and the contract went unfulfilled for an unknown reason. Only the seven gods and terminate the seal. Subaru explains that the seven Gods must refer to the seven data weapons. While explaining this, Hokuto's three Data weapons appear, and cause writing to appear on the cieling of the shrine they are in. Subaru says they don't have the seventh data weapon, and the old man explains that all seven gods are required to break the shield. Hokuto says he doesn't care, and will keep fighting, even if they don't have the seventh data weapon. Even it it doesn't work, they've never given up before. Back on the Meteo, everyone prepares to enter battle again, as Althea states that its their final battle. One of the women explains that 11 years ago, she was seperated from her child who looks similar to Subaru. She asks if he has a scar on his right arm (he does), and upon seeing this, she hugs him. The Meteo enters battle again. On Arktos, Subaru decides to stay and help the refugees, as Hokuto and Vega prepare to leave. The battle ensues in Orbit. As Zero approaches again, Ginga begins battling him, as Subaru fires his missile payload at him. As one hits his left arm, it begins infecting him with Lagowe's virus. As he's about to be finished off by the Virus, Zero destroys himself, and respawns. The Meteo begins to push against the defense satellite, which overloads its reactor. Kirakuni begins to battle Zero, and tells Ginga to go to the Meteo. Kirakuni fires a pair of Denchi at Zero as he destroys the Cell Fighter, apparently killing Kirakuni. Ginga prepares to use a Final Attack on the defense satellite to break the shield, but Zero prepares to destroy him. Just in time, Hokuto destroys Zero again, and Ginga destroy's the shield surrounding the planet. As Dendoh and Ogre grasp hands, the phoenix and the girl appear again. 38. Legend of the Star - And, the Start of a Day - The image of young Vega and the phoenix appear in space with everyone looking on. The phoenix materializes into its true form, as the seventh data weapon. Suddenly, Hokuto is pulled from Ogre's cockpit, and pulled back into Dendoh. The phoenix sets a contract with the new warriors, as all three Gear Commandes begin to glow. Hokuto, Ginga, and Althea all save the Phoenix. Althea recalls Ogre as Zero reappears once more. Hokuto and Ginga install the Phoenix, which appears as a massive pair of wings on Dendoh's back. Vega finds Kurakuni, alive and well around the wreckage of the Cell Fighter. Dendoh battles the Zero and the Gulfer, unleashing Senkou Raijin Geki. Its at this point that everyone realizes Dendoh has infinite energy. The Valhalla returns to the Meteo as Dendoh battles Zero. Zero lures Dendoh into range of the defense satellite's cannon, as Zero holds him still. Hokuto and Ginga install all of the data weapons at once, and unleash their Spiral Attack (destroying Zero yet again), which not only pushes back the satellite's blast, but obliterates it. Althea prepares to go out again, but tells Vega that he saw her as a child again in the phoenix, and that its giving him another chance. Zero combines with Vector (a glider thing he uses). Young Vega tells Hokuto and Ginga that he is only half of the life, and that they can't defeat him. Oger appears, and installs the Phoenix Aile, appearing as a pair of swords like Althea uses. They continue to battle, as Young Vega tells them they can't beat it yet again. Althea tells them to go to Arktos, and that they have to defeat the Gulfer Emperor. Dendoh heads toward the planet, with Zero trying to stop them, but Althea intervenes, stating that he is Zero's opponent. On earth, there is only two hours before the Spiral Cities arrive. Back on Arktos, Hokuto and Ginga terminate the seal, and use the Kiba to break through the wall and right into the Gulfer Emperor's chamber. Althea pushes Zero through the Atmosphere, as the Meteo lands in Arktos' ocean. Hokuto enter the chamber, and unleash the Phoenix Aile's Final Attack to get his attention. It works, as he appears (looking like an Orochi). Althea continues to battle Zero outside, while Vega heads out on the Walkure to assit him. Hokuto and Ginga unleash two Final Attacks on the Emperor, but don't do much to hurt him. The Emperor unleashes a fire blast on Dendoh. Hokuto and Ginga say they won't be defeated there, and suddenly all seven Data weapons appear before them. Young Vega explains that they will be with the planet's protector, and that when Arktos is in crisis, they will fulfill the contract. The seven Data Weapons take the form of a massive sword. Young Vega tells the two warriors to come. Taking the sword, they begin cutting through the Emperor's heads rather easily. Outside Zero manages to cut off Ogre's left arm, and cuts into Althea's cockpit. Vega rides up Ogre and leaps off the Walkure as it explodes in Zero's face. As Hokuto and Ginga cut through the last of the Emperor's heads, Althea plunges his sword into Zero, destroying both, and ending the Gulfer thread once and for all. On earth, reports of GEAR's victory come flooding in, as everyone is happy. As Vega open's Althea's cockpit, Althea wonders why he's still alive, as Vega explains there are still things he must do. The Data Weapons reappear, with young Vega saying that Humans will always triumph as long as they have courage. The ending begins to play as Dendoh returns to earth with Ellis on board. On Arktos, the Meteo is undergoing repairs, as all the inhabitants look toward a hopeful future. Back on earth, everyone greets the three who returned. At the very end, we see an older Hokuto, Ginga, and Ellis running through a field as Dendoh flies overhead.
