Pilot Classes is your 'career' in the SimChamber. Just as you would have different jobs in real life, the Pilot Classes fulfill this in the SimChamber. These topics will be discussed in detail below. What Pilot Classes are Class-less? Unemployed? Obtaining Pilot Classes ------------------------------------------------------ What IS a Pilot Class? A Pilot Class is a set of abilities that defines a pilot. Some pilots are defensive, some are offensive, some are dodgy, and more. While all pilots start from the same base, the skills and abilities they earn as they develop set them apart from others. By defination, all pilots have a Pilot Class, even if it has no abilities. It is impossible to be "classless", so to speak. ------------------------------------------------------ How can I get one? You will receive your first Pilot Class free as part of your Starting Package. If you want to change the build of your pilot class (for example, you have a melee focused build, but would rather a more balanced one), you can do so for 1250 Credits. When you pay this fee, the PPs spent on the class become freed up, and the class reverts back to the default state. Additionally, you may obtain more pilot classes at a later time, though obtaining these too have requirements and costs of their own. Additional classes are useful for piloting units with multiple pilot slots (such as Getter Robo), as well as fielding more than one unit in a battle. You obviously cannot 'sell' your 'job' to others, including the BEL. Your field of expertise is for your own consumption only. Count that as a blessing. ------------------------------------------------------ So how do I go about getting additional classes? You may purchase up to five (5) additional classes from the BEL for the cost of 1500 credits each. You can obtain more beyond that but from there you'll need to do a bit more work to obtain them. After those five additional classes, you must "unlock" additional slots by obtaining one of the following on another class: - Maximum SP (before pilot skills and abilities) and a full Spirit Command List or - A full Pilot Skill list. After unlocking an additional slot you must still pay 1500 credits to obtain the class. You may only unlock one additional pilot slot per class. For example, let's say Domon Kasshu first obtained a full pilot skill list on his Pilot Class. He would unlock an additional class slot at that time. If he later obtained the maximum SP and a full Spirit Command list, he would not unlock a second one. He would have to meet the requirements on another of his classes. Additionally, Sidekicks do not count toward unlocking additional classes. Like your starting class, you may choose to change any of these classes at the cost of 1250 credits, however any purchased Spirit Commands, Pilot Skills, and Pilot Techniques will stay on the pilot. You may not sell back classes to the BEL under any circumstances. Also like your starting class, each additional class you obtain starts with five-hundred (500) PP for you to get it off the ground with. ------------------------------------------------------ Anything else to know? Pilot classes are not considered "in use" in a battle, so you may use your pilot classes in as many battles at one time as you so choose. However, you can not use more than one copy of the same class in the same match unless you own multiple copies. For example, you can't deploy three Dynamic Pilots in Getter Robo unless you actually own three Dynamic Pilot classes. Your classes keep track of their SP, Spirit Commands, Pilot Skills, Pilot Techniques, and so on individually. They also gain such things individually, and they must be kept track of individually in your ARC account.
